Meet Bill Nye

Bill is one speaker that knows his way around the maintenance shop. Before becoming a Professional Speaker, Bill worked in property management as a maintenance supervisor, property manager and regional manager. As a maintenance supervisor he was responsible for over 400 units in North Carolina. Because of his leadership skills, Bill was promoted to Property Manager and ultimately was named Manager-of-the-Year by his local apartment association. After 18 months as a manager Bill took a position as a regional manager with a development company. There he was responsible for developing the budgets and hiring the staff for new properties all across the southeast.

Bill’s background also includes spending nine years in the United States Air Force as a flight engineer on C-141’s. He is a certified CFC instructor, has his Certified Pool Operators License, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in education and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Organization from the University of Maryland. Bill completed his formal education by earning a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Duke University in 1996.

Never far from his roots, Bill stays involved in maintenance in many ways. He conducts maintenance training all across the country including serving as a CAMT instructor for many apartment associations.

For the past five years, Bill has traveled all over the country delivering training, seminars and keynote addresses.
